ISM members stand out from the crowd

We've undertaken a full review of the current membership structure and have changed it to deliver greater value to members at all levels.

The main 4 memberships are now - Associate, Practitioner, Member and Fellow. To learn more about the exciting new structure and the relevant membership grades please go to Membership options and choose each grade.

Welcome from the IoSM President

Matthew Burrows

Having taken over the role of President from Vernon Lloyd on the 9th November 2009, I’m building my understanding and knowledge whilst mobilising a team of volunteers to drive improvements to the benefits and services of membership.

The existing benefits of membership include professional recognition and credibility, awarding members with letters after their name depending on the level of membership their experience and skills qualify them for. These grades cover everyone from students to fellows of the institute, allowing upgrades in membership as qualifications and experience increase.

The institute provides Continual Professional Development (CPD) support, supporting members to work through where they want to be and how they want to get there, and helping them to demonstrate the attainment of these goals.

There are many other services and benefits, including events, mentoring, networking and discounts on training.

The organisation is run by the members, all volunteers, including myself, who give of their time and experience, contributing to the development of our profession. These volunteers are supported by the staff at the itSMF office.I’d be very happy to hear from members or potential members to discuss ideas on the services and benefits they would like to see. I look forward to welcoming new members and working with all members (old and new).
