A highly experienced IT professional who has worked with major organisations across various market sectors including Investment / Retail Banking, Fund / Asset Management, Credit Card Services, Media and Consulting.
Stephen is a Fellow and active committee member of the Institute of IT Service Management, a Fellow of the British Computer Society, and Vice Chairman / Events Manager of the BCS SMSG. He has been an ITIL V2 Managers Certificate Examiner for many years and also V3 examinations with ISEB. He is an active participant in numerous ITIL and Data Centre related industry groups and committees.
I have accreditations in ITIL V3 (Expert), ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001/2 Information Security, Prince2 and am a CDCDP Certified Data Centre Design Professional.
What is your job role?
I am the Managing Director of Whitmore Solutions Ltd, an independent Consultancy developing, implementing and supporting best practice and governance solutions. Key focus areas include Service Management, Information Security, Process Engineering and Data Centre Management. Clients range from small start up organizations to global Investment Banks.
Apart from developing the business, I like to remain hands-on, developing and delivering solutions directly to my Customers.
Why did you join the ISM?
I had been an active member of the itSMF and BCS for a number of years. I joined the IOSM as part of my ongoing Continual Personal Development plan with a view to not only networking and sharing ideas with other members, but also to offer my time to actively contribute to the Institutes forward development. Since joining, I have contributed to their Mentoring Scheme, Membership panel and am a working party member working on the Institute’s future roadmap and direction.
What are your career aspirations?
Continuing to run and grow Whitmore Solutions Ltd over the coming years. Providing the best possible advice to my business clients, colleagues and contacts. I am always looking to develop myself and my business further, extending my knowledge of best practice and governance methodologies and frameworks.
